Arabian Nights
6225 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy., Kissimmee

407-239-9223
800-553-6116

Arabian Nights, voted #1 dinner show in Orlando, Florida, is a magical tale of love and triumph that features 60 horses from around the world. The production features Walter Farley's Black Stallion and is performed nightly in an arena that seats 1200. The "Palace of Horses" has received millions of guests over ten years, and provides the backdrop for a dramatic story that delights guests with beautiful horses and continuous action. Arabian Nights uses more costumes than a Broadway production and is enhanced by state-of-the-art lighting and special effects (including snow!). The story revolves around the wedding of the Prince and Princess and guests are invited to share in the wonder and magic created in this romantic tale on horseback.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
4510 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy., Kissimmee
407-396-1518
800-229-8300

The 30,000-square-foot Ceremonial Arena of a cavernous Moorish castle is the setting for pageantry that's fun for all ages. Here, jousting on horseback, sword fights, horsemanship and valiant hand-to-hand knight combat bring Middle Age history alive. The unlimited banquet feast includes a pizza brochette appetizer, vegetable soup, roasted chicken, spare ribs, potatoes and pastry dessert served by "serfs" and "wenches." In true medieval style, silverware is not used. Kids love this. Meals are individually pre-plated here. Hot or cold vegetable platters may be substituted if requested in advance. Two rounds of sangria, beer, soda, coffee and tea are included with the meal price. Additional beverages cost extra.

Pirate's Dinner Adventure and Maritime Museum
6400 Carrier Drive
407-248-0590
800-866-2469

Featuring one of International Drive's most impressive dinner show sets (built inside an old B-movie studio), patrons can dine "aboard" a buccaneer ship, amidst swashbuckler races, aerial acrobatics, sword fights and indoor pyrotechnics. While kids really get absorbed in all the antics and blarney, adults may find the lip-synched group pirate songs and thin storyline a little hokey. The disco "wrap party" immediately following the show is especially popular with youngsters and teens when the cast mingles with visitors. Unlimited high seas fare consists of assorted chip, pretzel, melon and raw vegetable appetizers in the pre-show harbor courtyard. The dinner meal consists of bread sticks, pot roast, marinated grilled chicken breast served skewer-style, yellow rice with vegetable bits and "royal dessert" (cake). The ship mates keep a steady stream of sodas, beer, sangria and wine coming, along with coffee and tea.

Capone's Dinner & Show
4740 W. Hwy. 192, Kissimmee
407-397-2378
800-220-8428

Gangland Chicago circa 1931 is the setting for this speakeasy cabaret. Patrons give the secret password before entering this underworld of guys and dolls' song-and-dance. Entertainment includes light opera, jazz, blues, musical comedy, tango and tap dancing. This show theme is best suited for adults and older children. The all-you-can-eat, Italian/American (naturally) buffet offers lasagna, baked ziti, sausage and peppers, baked chicken, pasta salad and more. The hot food is sometimes overcooked or cold and replenishing needs to be more efficiently executed

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show

407-238-4455
877-782-6733

The dinner attraction will feature a rivalry between the North and South. The experience includes 32 horses, ostrich racing, comedy and a four-course dinner.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
4510 N. Fort Wilderness Trail
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista
407-939-3463

The corny comedy of the Pioneer Hall Players in this slapstick, Western-style show is best suited for kids. The whole family will enjoy such frontier favorites as "Shenandoah" and "My Darling Clementine." "Banjo pickin", can-can dancing and an audience participation washboard finale help make this Disney's most popular dinner show. Year-round shows run at 5, 7:15 and 9:30 p.m. Unlimited smoked pork ribs, fried chicken, corn-on-the-cob, bread, tossed salad and baked beans precede a yummy strawberry shortcake. Special dietary requests are honored with a 24 hour advance notice. Servers replenish beer, sangria, wine, sodas, coffee and tea throughout the meal.

Every show features live music, audience participation, and unique prizes. The super detective of the evening wins a MurderWatch Watch -- a digital timepiece built into a handcuff!

Polynesian Luau and Dinner Show
1600 Seven Seas Drive
Disney's Polynesian Resort, Lake Buena Vista

407-939-3463

Presented beach side in a covered, open-air theater, this South Seas luau is the best in town. (Shows are only canceled when temperatures drop below 50 degrees.) The family show takes patrons on a journey from New Zealand to Samoa, explaining island customs while showcasing elaborate, colorful costuming and attractive native male and female dancers. Special effects are dramatic here, and include blacklights, dry ice and fire. Year-round show times are at 5:15 and 8 p.m. The themed island feast, served family-style, features chicken drumsticks, fresh catch of the day, pork, island rice, fresh sauteed vegetables, dinner rolls and a tropical dessert that changes nightly. Special dietary requests are honored with a 24 hour advance notice.Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show will include traditional drumming, dancing, music and food.

Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Show
7508 Universal Drive

407-363-1985
800-393-1985

A stylish English drawing room is the backdrop for murder, intrigue and comedy, presented by a rotating cast. There are nine alternating show themes, including "Lord Mansfield's Fox Hunt Banquet" and "The Reunion" staged in two theaters, all designed with engaging plots and plentiful clues that aid would-be Sherlocks and Agathas in solving the dastardly crimes.

Aloha! Polynesian Luau

7007 Sea World Drive
SeaWorld Orlando

While the authenticity of Sea World's South Seas adventure rivals Disney's, the overall family production has less panache, especially when presented indoors rather than amid gentle lake-front breezes. Such special effects as fire, dry ice, black lights and bubbles are dramatically employed in a dazzling show. The Polynesian feast, meanwhile, is the best meal served at any Central Florida dinner theater.

Wonder Works
9067 International Drive

407-352-0411

This 90-minute dinner show on I-Drive, combines comedy, magic and music.
Wonderworks, an upside-down attraction, features magician Tony Brent and his assistant Jamie Bowie performing illusions while guests enjoy all-you-can-eat pizza and drinks. The show is a combination of magic, live music and comedy. It's a combination of many elements that seem to work together almost as a musical theater production.
In a town that boasts two topsy-turvy buildings on the same street (Ripley's Believe It or Not! is the other odd structure), WonderWorks works hard at distinguishing itself amid the crowd of attractions in the International Drive tourist corridor. The combination science center/entertainment factory/arcade made a dramatic entrance onto the I-Drive scene with its 62-foot-tall upside-down building.
